When a rap battle goes wrong...

Here is what's wrong with Hiphop right now.

A traditional Hiphop confrontation of rhymed words quickly devolved into an all out brawl, courtesy of a sucker punch for the ages.

Regrettably, this is a new trend, courtesy of the extra new school generation, who have gone out of their way to mutate what used to be a peaceful competition between two hungry emcees into a never ending stream of witty yet violent threats they want to make good on.

As heated as some of the more celebrated rap battles of yore were, there was rarely the threat of the war of words becoming a melee of muscles.

But in the past ten years or so, the art form has gone from straight spitting to scuffling, bastardizing one of the main components of what organic Hiphop was founded on.
